1. Do you participate actively? Do you contribute information and ideas to the discussion?
2. Are you prepared? Are passages marked in your reading? Do you have questions?
3. Do you speak clearly and loudly enough for everyone to understand? Do you make eye contact, face the speaker, and use positive body language?
4. Do you listen to the others without interrupting?
5. Do you invite others to share? Do you give encouragement and specific compliments for others’ good insights and participation?

7. Do you paraphrase and piggyback off others’ comments?
8. Do you support your statements with the text, statistics, or facts?
